Men's Tennis trio advances in pre-qualifying draw at ITA All-American Championship

TULSA, Okla. -- Texas freshman Vasko Mladenov tallied a three-set victory in the round of 128 and seniors Rook Schellenberg and Jon Wiegand earned byes through the first two rounds of the pre-qualifying singles draw Saturday on day one of the ITA All-American Championships. Mladenov, who was awarded an opening-round bye in the pre-qualifying singles draw, tallied a 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8) win over Kentucky's Alex Lambropoulos in the round of 128. Mladenov will take on UTSA's Martin Ayala in Sunday's round of 64. Wiegand will take on Georgia Tech's Eliot Potvin in Sunday's round of 64, while Schellenberg will meet SMU's Bryan Griffin.
