WACO, Texas -- Texas freshman Ben Chen registered a three-set win in the opening round but would advance no further after being eliminated in the round of 32 Friday at the H-E-B Baylor Intercollegiate at the Baylor Tennis Center.
Chen opened play in the round of 64 with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 win over Tennessee’s Max Stevens but was eliminated in the following round by Baylor’s Attila Bucko, 6-1, 6-2. Freshmen Daniel Whitehead, Chris Camillone and Alex Hilliard were eliminated in the opening round of the main singles draw.
