Men's Tennis sends two to singles semifinals at Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational

MIDLAND, Texas - Texas junior Daniel Whitehead and freshman Soren Hess-Olesen each recorded a pair of singles victories to reach the semifinals of the main singles draw Saturday on day two of the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational.Whitehead opened the day with a 6-4, 6-4 win over TCU's Will Stein before defeating Tulsa's Grant Ive, 6-1, 6-4. Hess-Olesen defeated Abilene Christian's Hans Hach, 6-2, 6-1 before knocking off Texas A&M's Jordan Szabo, 6-3, 6-2. The Longhorns also picked up a singles win from junior Alex Hilliard. Texas also swept its four morning singles matches at the Olympia Fields Invitational near Chicago. David Holiner, Chris Camillone and Sudanwa Sitaram all won in straight sets, and Ben Chen added a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 win over Notre Dame's Billy Pecor.
