No. 6 Men's Tennis tops SMU, 5-2

DALLAS -- No. 6 Texas dropped the doubles point but rallied with five singles victories to defeat SMU Saturday afternoon at the Mustangs' Turpin Tennis Stadium.

Sophomores Ed Corrie and Kellen Damico picked up a win at first doubles, but the Mustangs claimed the remaining two positions to seize the doubles point. However, Texas collected victories from Corrie and Damico, juniors Dimitar Kutrovsky and Josh Zavala, and senior Miguel Reyes Varela to finish off the Mustangs.

Texas resumes play on Tuesday, March 3 when its hosts Vanderbilt at 5 p.m. at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
