Men's Tennis adds seven singles wins on final day of Key Biscayne Invitational
Jan. 11, 2009 KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. -- Texas notched seven singles victories against Alabama to wrap up a successful three-day stint Sunday at the Key Biscayne Invitational. Junior Dimitar Kutrovsky came from behind to post a 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 win over the Crimson Tide’s Saketh Myneni, and sophomore Kellen Damico posted a 6-3, 6-4 win over Billy Mertz. Sophomore Ed Corrie knocked off Michael Thompson by a 6-2, 6-4 count, and senior Miguel Reyes Varela tallied a 6-3, 6-1 win over Dan Buikema. Junior Josh Zavala dealt John Lewis a 6-4, 6-4 defeat, and junior Olivier Sajous hung a 6-4, 7-6 loss on Andrew Felsenthal. Senior Jonah Kane-West chipped in a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Houssam Yassine.
