• Defeated Baylor's Will Ward in three sets to clinch the Big 12 Tournament title, as UT scored a 4-1 victory in Waco
AS A FRESHMAN (2004-05)
• Carried the highest overall win percentage in singles (.714) with a 25-10 record
• Recorded a 14-6 mark in dual matches while playing as high as No. 3 in the singles lineup
• Sent Texas to the semifinals of the Big 12 Championships with his straight-set victory over Jakob Paulsen of Texas Tech in quarterfinal action
