Nov. 3, 2011
AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Men's Swimming & Diving team will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. Friday to square off against the University of Michigan and Indiana in a double dual.
Texas will be up against stiff competition as Michigan is the defending Big 10 Champions and have not lost this season with a victory at the Dennis Stark Relays in South Bend, Ind. and dual wins over Notre Dame, Oakland and TCU. Indiana is coming off season-opening wins over Tennessee and Kentucky.
The Longhorns claimed a title at the Southwest Collegiate Plunge in Mansfield, Texas last weekend to start their season. UT received strong performances from Neil Caskey and Dax Hill to propel them to the victory despite being without national champions Eric Friedland and Michael McBroom who were being honored at the Texas-Kansas football game in Austin. Texas also competed without diver Drew Livingston who was representing the U.S. at the Pan American Games in Mexico.
Friday's action at the Canham Natatorium will start at 6 p.m. with 16 events scheduled to take place. The meet continues on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
