Texas to host "Swim Like an Olympian" benefit clinic

Host: Texas Men’s Swimming
What: Clinic to Benefit Hurricane Victims
When: Saturday, Oct. 1
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Where: University of Texas Lee and Joe Jamail Swim Center
Suggested minimum donation:  $20 per swimmer (Donations will be collected cash or check at the door. Make checks payable to American Red Cross.)

AUSTIN, Texas -- United States Olympic medalists Ian Crocker, Nate Dusing, Brendan Hansen, Aaron Peirsol and Neil Walker have combined efforts with Texas head coach Eddie Reese, junior Garrett Weber-Gale and members of The University of Texas men’s swimming team to host a benefit swimming clinic and autograph session on Saturday, October 1, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the University of Texas Lee and Joe Jamail Swim Center to benefit victims of the recent hurricane disasters. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

Also on hand will be World Championships team members Weber-Gale and Matthew McGinnis and College World Games team members Michael Klueh and Dan Rohleder.

The cost of the clinic is $20 per person, with checks made payable to “American Red Cross.” All proceeds directly benefit the hurricane victims via the American Red Cross. The stroke clinic is for all interested swimmers ages eight and above, and able to swim the full length of the pool.
