Men's Swimming completes successful third day at USA National Championships

IRVINE, Calif. -- Several current and former Texas swimmers combined to tally six, top-eight finishes Thursday on day four of the ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships.

Leading the way was former Longhorn All-American Ian Crocker, the world-record holder in the 100-meter butterfly. Crocker took second in the event, clocking 51.73 to finish just behind Michael Phelps. UT senior Tyler O'Halloran (Boardman, Ohio) placed seventh in the "A" final at 53.91. Junior Daniel Rohleder (Austin, Texas) took seventh in the "B" final at 54.97, while senior Thomas Sacco (Dallas, Texas) captured the "C" final in 55.05.

Former Longhorn All-American Neil Walker added a fourth-place finish in the 50-meter freestyle, clocking 22.49, while senior Garrett Weber-Gale (Fox Point, Wis.) placed seventh in 22.55.

Day four of the ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships begins Friday at noon CDT.
