Troy Dumais, Wilkinson land top-five finishes at FINA Diving World Cup
CHANGSHU, China -- Former University of Texas diving All-Americans Troy Dumais (1999-2002) and Laura Wilkinson (1996-2000) each recorded top-five finishes Thursday at the 15th FINA Diving World Cup in Changshu, China. Dumais, a former seven-time NCAA Champion at Texas, placed third in the three-meter event with a score of 475.15 and was the top American finisher. He will take part in the three-meter synchro event on Friday. Wilkinson, a former two-time NCAA Champion, took fourth in the platform event with a total of 352.70 and also was the top American finisher in the event. Dumais and Wilkinson each represented Team USA at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympic Games. Dumais took fourth in the three-meter event at the 2000 Games in Sydney, Australia, while Wilkinson took home the gold in the platform event.
