Men's Swimming to join nation's top swimmers in Longhorn Aquatics Elite Invite

AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Men's Swimming team will compete Friday-Sunday at the Longhorn Aquatics Elite Invite held in Austin at the Lee & Joe Jamail Swim Center.
Among the Longhorns scheduled to compete will be Nick Allen, Ben Anderson, Matt Belecanech, Bobby Button, Ian Carbone, Neil Caskey, Tripp Cooper, Cole Cragin, Britt Dalby, Kip Darmody, Nick D'Innocenzo, Jimmy Feigen, Eric Friedland, Madison Gibson, Dax Hill, Kerrington Hill, Hayes Johnson, Michael McBroom, Kyle McNeilis, Patrick Murphy, Jake Ritter, Grant Rogers, Keegan Severns, Austin Surhoff, Conor Swanson, Reid Walker, Madison Wenzler and Jackson Wilcox,
Along with the UT swimmers, there will be the largest group of the nation's top swimmers competing at any meet this summer besides the Olympic Trials. Among the big names are Michael Phelps and Missy Franklin, arguably the top two names in the sport this year, along with former Longhorns Garrett Weber-Gale, Brendan Hansen and Kathleen Hersey,
Also invited to the meet were the Aggie Swim Club, Athens Bulldogs Swim Club, Auburn University, Bluefish Swim Club, Bolles School Sharks, California Aquatics, Clearwater Aquatic Team, Club Wolverine, Colorado Stars, Curl Burke Swim Club, Cypress Fairbanks Swim Club, FAST, Gator Swim Club, Mission Viejo Nadadores, Nashville Aquatic Club, North Baltimore Aquatic Club, Swim Atlanta, SwimMAC Carolina, T2O Aquatics, Texas A&M University, The Woodlands Swim Team, Trojan Swim Club, Tucson Ford Dealers Aquatics, University of Arizona, University of Florida, University of Georgia and University of Southern California.
The action starts each day with prelims at 9:30 a.m. and then the 24 athletes who make the finals in each event will return to the pool for the evening finals which begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Ticket prices for prelims are $8 for adults and $5 for children 2-12 and students. Tickets for finals are $15 for adults and $10 for children 2-12 and students. An all-session pass is available for $55.
