Dumais and Livingston shine at USA Diving Grand Prix

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Former Longhorns Troy Dumais and Drew Livingston each placed in the top three of the 3-meter synchronized diving competition on Saturday at the USA Diving Grand Prix in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Dumais teamed up with Kristian Ipsen from Stanford to post a score of 376.86 for second overall. The middle of the routine was the strongest for the pair as they scored a 79.98 on their forward 3 ½ somersault pike and an 83.64 on their forward 2 ½ somersault, two twist pike. Livingston and Olympian Christopher Colwill tallied a score of 357.99. They had two dives over 70 points, including a 72.42 on a forward 2 ½ somersault, two twist pike and a 71.40 on their inward 3 1/2 somersault tuck. The divers are in preparation for the upcoming Olympic Trials which will take place June 17-24 in Seattle, Wash.
