Rohleder selected to Big 12 Good Works Team
IRVING, Texas -- The Big 12 Conference announced Friday its inaugural Winter Sports Good Works Team, and UT junior Daniel Rohleder from the top-ranked Longhorn men’s swimming and diving team was selected by The University of Texas as its nominee for the 12-member team. The squad features student-athletes from men’s and women’s basketball, gymnastics and swimming and diving teams throughout the Big 12 Conference. Each Big 12 Conference member institution selected one student-athlete for the Big 12 Winter Sports Good Works Team based on his or her community service, exceptional academic standing and participation in a sport sanctioned by the Big 12 Conference. The Big 12 Conference also will announce a Spring Sports Good Works Team in the coming months. Former Texas Volleyball middle blocker Leticia Armstrong was selected to the Big 12 Fall Sports Good Works Team in November 2006.
