Livingston, Dumais win preliminary rounds at USA Diving Winter Nationals

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Texas junior diver Drew Livingston took first place in the three-meter diving preliminary round Monday afternoon at the 2011 USA Diving Winter National Championships at The University of Iowa.
Livingston (The Woodlands, Texas) claimed the event's preliminary round with 411.45 points. He produced 88.4 points on his third dive, an inward three-and-a-half somersault in the tuck position. Livingston won the preliminary round by nearly 30 points. Texas-Ex Jonathan Wilcox took 16th place with 296.85 points and also took second in the one-meter preliminary round with 363.25 points. Livingston advances to Thursday's quarterfinal round.
Dumais won the three-meter synchronized diving prelims with 409.26 points and totaled 86.7 points on his third dive, a forward two-and-a-half somersault with two twists. Dumais will compete in Saturday's three-meter synchro finals.
