Feigen, Cooper earn Big 12 honors

AUSTIN, Texas – Seniors Jimmy Feigen and Matt Cooper received weekly honors from the Big 12 after they guided the Longhorns to a senior day victory over No. 9 Georgia last weekend. Feigen was named the Big 12 Swimmer of the Week for the second straight week it was handed out. He captured individual victories in the 50 and 100 freestyle races and also swam on the first place 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay teams. He gives Texas six Big 12 Swimmer of the Week awards this season. Cooper three-peated as the Big 12 Diver of the Week after recording the top score in the 3-meter event and the second best score in the 1-meter competition. He tallied over 400 points in each event with 444.45 in the 3-meter and 403.05 in the 1-meter. Texas will be back in action tomorrow and Friday in a dual meet at Auburn.
