THE 2009-10 LONGHORNS:  Under the direction of 32nd-year head coach Eddie Reese, the Texas men's swimming and diving roster features a pair of Olympic gold medalists and world champions in seniors Ricky Berens and Dave Walters.  Sophomore Jackson Wilcox joined Berens and Walters to compete at the FINA World Championships over the summer in Rome.  Junior Scott Spann was a finalist in the 200-meter breaststroke at the Beijing Olympics.  UT also returns senior Hill Taylor, a three-time individual All-American at the 2009 NCAA Championships, and sophomore diver Drew Livingston, the 2009 NCAA one-meter diving champion.

The Longhorns return 11 All-Americans from the 2008-09 squad that placed second at the NCAA Championships and earned UT’s 24th top-three NCAA finish under Reese.  CollegeSwimming.com ranks Texas’ class of eight newcomers as the second-best in the nation.  The class features a pair of current and former national high school record holders in Cole Cragin and Nick D’Innocenzo.

Cragin holds the national mark in the 100-yard backstroke (46.75) and D’Innocenzo once held the national mark in the 200-yard individual medley.
