HOUSTON – Texas redshirt sophomore diver Will Chandler paced the UT diving contingent by taking second in the platform diving event Saturday on the final day of the Phill Hansel Invitational at The University of Houston.
Chandler took second in the platform event with 338.00 points. He topped out at 67.2 points on his third dive, a back two-and-a-half somersault in the pike position. LSU’s Daniel Helm won the competition with 369.90 points.
Texas sophomore Ryan Anthony placed 10th in the platform event with 272.75 points, and sophomore Myles Herzog took 11th place with 257.80 points.
The Texas swimmers resume competition on Thursday, Nov. 29 when the USA Swimming Winter National Championships come to UT’s Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
