BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Texas collected two wins apiece from junior diver Drew Livingston and junior swimmer Jackson Wilcox, as the Longhorns posted a pair of wins Friday afternoon over Michigan and host Indiana at IU's Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center. 

Texas posted a 160-140 victory over Michigan and defeated the host Hoosiers by a 181-119 count.  Michigan and Indiana finished in a tie at 150 points apiece. 

Texas opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, where sophomore Cole Cragin, senior Scott Spann, junior Neil Caskey and sophomore Dax Hill finished with a NCAA "B" cut of 1 minute, 29.56 seconds.  Michigan was victorious in the relay at 1:29.44.  Texas' Wilcox notched his first win of the day in the 1000 freestyle, where he led a one-two Texas finish in 9:06.58.  Sophomore Michael McBroom took second in 9:08.54.  Senior Jim Robertson took fourth in 9:17.50. 

UT senior Scott Jostes led the Horns in the next event, the 200 freestyle, with a second-place finish in 1:39.51.  Junior Kyle McNeilis placed fourth in 1:39.67.  Sophomore Cole Cragin added another win for Texas in the 100 backstroke with a NCAA "B" cut of 48.37.  Sophomore Austin Surhoff took third in 49.99. 

Junior Eric Friedland led the Texas breaststroke contingent by taking second in the 100 breaststroke at 55.71, just off of the NCAA provisional-qualifying cut of 55.51.  Senior Scott Spann took third in 55.86.  Caskey followed with a second-place finish in the 200 butterfly with a NCAA "B" cut of 1:47.40.

UT's Livingston registered a pool record at IU's Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center with his win in the one-meter event, no small feat given that Indiana, like Texas, boasts an historically strong diving program.  Livingston won the event with 405.70 points to top the pool mark of 402.40 set by former Hoosier Landon Marzullo in 2008.               

Texas' Hill was victorious in the 100 freestyle with a mark of 44.89.  UT's Jostes took fifth in 45.51.  Surhoff led the Horns in the 200 backstroke with his fourth-place mark of 1:49.11.  Freshman Patrick Murphy took sixth at 1:50.96.  The Longhorns opened up their leads on the Wolverines and Hoosiers with a one-two-three finish in the 200 breaststroke.  Sophomore Nick D'Innocenzo picked up the win in 1:59.98, just off of the NCAA "B" cut of 1:59.96.  Friedland took second in 2:01.73, and Spann placed third in 2:02.07. 

Texas' Wilcox and McBroom once again led a one-two finish, this time in the 500 freestyle, where Wilcox posted a NCAA "B" cut of 4:27.39.  McBroom took second in 4:28.96.  Caskey added a second-place finish in the 100 butterfly at 48.36, and Cragin took fourth in 49.76.  Livingston finished off a productive afternoon with a victory in the three-meter diving event with 402.85 points.  Freshman Will McCraney took sixth with 350.75 points. 

D'Innocenzo led the Horns in the 200 IM with a second-place mark of 1:50.72.  Sophomore Conor Swanson took third in 1:51.02.  The Horns finished off the afternoon with a fourth-place showing in the 400 freestyle relay, where Jostes, Caskey, freshman Charlie Moore and Hill finished in 3:01.56. 

Texas resumes fall competition in early December when it hosts the annual Texas Invitational at UT's Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.

"This was a really good meet.  All three teams swam well.  We seemed to get better in the races at the 200-yard distances.  We weren't very good in the 50s, like in the 200 medley relay.  Otherwise, we're right where we need to be this time of year.  Nick D'Innocenzo is swimming great.  He went 1:59-plus in the 200 breaststroke, which is really good.  Jackson Wilcox, Michael McBroom and Jim Robertson all did a really good job with their heavy load in the distance events, though we didn't sprint well at all today."

"Drew Livingston had a really solid one-meter contest and broke the pool record, though he knows he can do so much better than that.  That's a positive sign in the right direction, to dive as well as he did.  He dove solidly again on the three-meter.  He made a small error on his last dive.  Otherwise he would have had a pretty stellar list on the three-meter and perhaps a pool record there, too.  Will McCraney broke 300 points for the first time in the one-meter event.  He has been really steady, and he's definitely progressing rapidly."
