Men's Swimming and Diving completes competition against Indiana and Michigan

AUSTIN, Texas - Texas posted six victories in an unscored meet against Indiana and Michigan Saturday at UT's Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. Scores were not awarded given that the team competitions were contested on Friday, when UT defeated Indiana and fell to Michigan. Saturday's meet gave swimmers a chance to compete in unconventional college events, such as the 50 breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke.
Sophomore Clay Youngquist posted a pair of wins in the 200 backstroke (1:49.55) and the 100 freestyle (44.37). Senior Austin Surhoff took the 50 backstroke in 23.96, and senior Dax Hill took the 200 butterfly in 1:53.46. Senior Cole Cragin won an additional 50 backstroke heat in 22.95.
Redshirt sophomore Will Chandler won the platform diving event with 343.88 points.
The Texas divers resume fall competition on Thursday, Nov. 15 when they compete
in the Houston Invitational. The Texas swimmers resume fall competition on
Thursday, Nov. 29 when the 2012 AT&T Winter National Championships make a
stop at the Texas Swimming Center for a three-day meet.
