· Earned his first career All-America honor by placing sixth in the 200 backstroke (1:42.45) at the NCAA Championships; clocked a personal best 1:41.98 in the preliminary round
· Placed 18th in the 500 freestyle (4:20.02) and 33rd in the 200 freestyle (1:36.74) at the NCAA Championships
· Captured his first Big 12 Conference title when he claimed the 200 backstroke in 1:42.72
· Placed fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:37.27) and sixth in the 500 freestyle (4:22.78) at the Big 12 Championships

· Participated in the 1000-yard freestyle in three regular-season meets, placing fourth at Georgia (9:36.69), fifth at Florida (9:25.89) and sixth at Auburn (9:40.44)
AS A FRESHMAN (2005-06)
· Making his first trip to the NCAA championships finished 21st in the 200-yard backstroke (1:46.25) and finished 36th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:30.95)
· Finished second in the 200-yard backstroke (1:45.09) and third in the 500-yard freestyle (4:25.42) at the Big 12 Championships
· Runner-up in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:28.91) at the dual meet with Texas A&M
· Finished fourth in both the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:36.10) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:50.85) at the dual meet with Georgia
