• At the Big 12 Championships, he placed third in the 200 freestyle (1:36.05), fifth in the 500 freestyle (4:22.48) and seventh in the 100 freestyle (45.20)
• In the Texas Invitational, he recorded a sixth place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:36.41) and 500 freestyle (4:22.51) while taking 27th in the 100 freestyle (45.44)
• Won the 200 freestyle at the Southwest Collegiate Plunge with a time of 1:39.59 and finished third in the 500 freestyle (4:31.99)
• Swam a 1:35.79 for second place in the 200 freestyle at the American Short Course
• Picked up third place in the 200 freestyle against both Georgia and Auburn
