• Split 1:33.86 on the third leg of UT's 800 freestyle relay (with Scott Jostes, Dave Walters and Ricky Berens) that took first place in a pool-record time of 6:12.77 at the NCAA Championships
• Placed 12th in the 100 butterfly (46.59), 18th in the 200 IM (1:44.93) and 18th in the 200 backstroke (1:42.63) at the NCAA Championships
• Took fifth in the 100 butterfly (47.34), third in the 100 backstroke "B" final (47.56) and exhibitioned the 200 backstroke consolation final (1:44.99) at the Big 12 Championships
• Won the 100 butterfly (48.57) at SMU
