Frittelli makes 36-hole cut at South African Open

PAARL, South Africa -- Texas sophomore Dylan Frittelli shot a 2-over 74 Friday in round two of the PGA European Tour's South African Open and made the 36-hole cut to continue weekend play at the 72-hole event.

After shooting a 3-under 69 in Thursday's opening round, Frittelli (Pretoria, South Africa) slipped from 11th place to a tie for 35th place with his 2-over effort on Friday.  Playing as an amateur, Frittelli sits at 1-under par for the tournament, and Pablo Martin leads the event at 11-under par through 36 holes.

The third round begins Saturday morning at the 7,306-yard Pearl Valley Golf Estates course.
