Men's Golf signee Brandon Stone cards 2-under 70 in third round at South African Open Championship

EKURHULENI, South Africa -- Texas Men's Golf signee Brandon Stone carded a 2-under-par 70 in the third round of the South African Open Championship on Saturday and is tied for 38th place entering Sunday's final round at 4-under 212 (73-69-70). One of just two amateurs to advance to weekend action, Stone holds a one-stroke lead over fellow amateur Jared Harvey (68-74-71=213). Stone could become the second player in Texas history to earn low amateur honors after the event, as senior Dylan Frittelli accomplished the same feat in 2009.
