Spieth currently tied for 27th place at PGA Tour Q-School Second Stage

McKINNEY, Texas -- Sophomore All-American Jordan Spieth sank four birdies en route to a 3-under-par 69 in Wednesday’s second round of the PGA Tour Q-School Second Stage at TPC Craig Ranch. Through 36 holes, Spieth 71-69=140, -4) is tied for 27th place in one of the PGA Tour’s six second-stage tournaments. Twenty qualifying positions (and ties) are up for grabs at Craig Ranch. The top-20 and ties following Friday’s fourth and final round will advance to the Final Qualifying Stage from Nov. 28-Dec. 3 in LaQuinta, Calif. The top-25 and ties at the final stage will earn PGA Tour cards for the 2013 season, while all players in the field will earn different levels of status on the Web.com Tour for the upcoming year. Spieth will begin Thursday’s round on the first tee at 9:05 a.m. Central alongside Todd Hamilton and Matt Weibring.
