Men's Golf three strokes off lead at Isleworth Collegiate Invitational
WINDERMERE, Fla. -- UT senior Jhonattan Vegas (Maturin, Venezuela) and sophomore Charlie Holland (Dallas, Texas) each shot even-par scores of 72 to sit in a tie for 12th place Sunday in the opening round of the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational at the Isleworth Country Club. The Longhorns sit just three strokes off the lead in a tie for fourth place after the opening round at six-over par. Georgia leads at three-over par. Senior Matt Bortis (Springfield, Mo.) and junior Kevin Schultz (Richardson, Texas) each shot three-over scores of 75 to end the opening round in a tie for 39th place. Freshman Lance Lopez (Missouri City, Texas) shot four-over par to finish the first day in a tie for 51st place. South Carolina sits in second place at four-over par, and Tennessee follows in third at five-over par. Texas and Oklahoma State round out the top five at six over.
