AUSTIN, Texas -- Junior Jeff Bell (Plano, Texas) leads the 61st Massingil Trophy with a six-round score of 431 (-1). Heading into the final round, Bell holds a four-stroke lead over junior Matthew Mills (London, England) and freshman Jace Moore (Southlake, Texas), who are tied at three-over-par.
The Massingil Trophy is given to the winner of the intrasquad tournament and was originally used to decide who would play in the first tournament of the season. This year's tournament is being used to set the lineup for the Isleworth Invitational, which is being played on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 25-26 at Isleworth Country Club in Windermere, Fla.
Sophomore Farren Keenan (Middlesex, England) is sitting just behind the leaders at four-over-par. Senior Shaun Goodwin (Spring, Texas) rounds out the top five with a six-round total of 437 (+5).
The final round of the Massingil Trophy will be played at Austin Country Club on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
