TANAGURA, Japan -- The Texas men's golf team shot a combined 295 to bring their two-day total to 579 (+3) on Wednesday, September 8 at the Topy Cup in Tanagura, Japan (Tanagura Country Club - Par 72, 6,080 yards). The team is currently in third place behind New Mexico (-12) and Auburn (-2). Junior Matthew Rosenfeld (Plano, Texas) carded his second-straight 69 to finish the day in a first place tie with New Mexico's Miguel Griego at six-under-par.

Despite Rosenfeld's second-straight day of three-under-par golf, Texas finished the second day with a seven-over-par 295. Junior Shaun Goodwin (Spring, Texas) finished his second round with a 78 to bring his two-day total to 147 (+3). Sophomore Farren Keenan (Middlesex, England) and junior Matthew Mills (London, England) shot a 76 and a 77, respectively, while junior Jeff Bell (Plano, Texas) recovered from a first day 78 to tally a one-over-par 73.

The final round of the Topy Cup will be played tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 9).
