Frittelli named to Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar team

AUSTIN, Texas – The GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America) announced the selection of Texas rising senior Dylan Frittelli and 137 additional Division I men’s golfers as Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars for the 2010-11 academic year.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, a golfer must be a junior or senior, have competed for at least two full years at the collegiate level participated in at least 70 percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete at the NCAA Championships.
Additionally, golfers must maintain a stroke average of 76.0 or lower and maintain a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade-point average. Recipients must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their respective universities.
Frittelli (Pretoria, South Africa) earned a first-team selection to the 2011 Academic All-Big 12 Team in the spring. He earned his second consecutive PING All-America honor last month after posting three top-10 finishes during his junior season.
