Schultz named to All-Big 12 Men’s Golf Team
IRVING, Texas -- University of Texas junior Kevin Schultz was selected to the 2007 All-Big 12 Men's Golf Team, as announced Wednesday by the league. Schultz (Richardson, Texas) was Texas' top finisher at the recent 2007 Big 12 Championship, where he helped the Horns to a fourth-place finish by tying for 11th place at 12-over par. Schultz represented Texas in eight events and took a season-best sixth place at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, where UT scored one of its two victories last fall. Schultz also was named to the 2007 Academic All-Big 12 Men's Golf Team last month. Schultz and the Longhorns are expected to receive a bid on Monday, May 7 to the NCAA Regional Championships to be contested later this month.
