Frittelli named to Academic All-Big 12 Men's Golf Team

IRVING, Texas -- Texas sophomore Dylan Frittelli earned a first-team selection to the 2010 Academic All-Big 12 Conference Men's Golf Team, the league announced Tuesday. The men's golf academic all-league team consisted of 17 first-team members along with 12 on the second team. First-team members consisted of those who maintained a minimum 3.20 grade-point average with second-team members maintaining a minimum 3.0 grade-point average. In addition, student-athletes must have participated in 60 percent of his team's tournaments to be nominated to the team. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first years of academic residence. A geography major, Frittelli earns his Academic All-Big 12 selection in his initial season of eligibility. Frittelli and the Longhorns begin play Friday at the Big 12 Championships in Trinity, Texas.
