Men's Golf ranked 18th in latest Golfstat.com poll
AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas men's golf team moved into 18th place in the latest Golfstat.com head-to-head rankings heading into the Big 12 Championships on April 24-25. Texas recently placed 10th at the U.S. Collegiate Championships at the Golf Club of Georgia in Atlanta, Ga. on April 10-11. Junior Jeff Bell (Plano, Texas) led Texas with a final round two-over par 74 to finish tied for seventh with an even-par 216, his best finish of the year. Texas finished with a three-round score of 35-over par 899. The Longhorns put rounds of 294, 297 and 308 on the board to mark their eighth top 10 finish in 10 outings. The team will be competing next at the two-day Big 12 Men's Golf Championships (Monday-Tuesday, April 24-25) at Southern Hills Golf Course in Tulsa, Okla. for the second time in conference history. OSU leads the league with four titles while Texas has captured three Big 12 titles, followed by Kansas and Baylor with one apiece.
