Last Time Out: The University of Texas men's golf team completed the University Hawaii Hilo Intercollegiate in sixth place, helped by Jhonattan Vegas' final round 67 and first top five finish of the season in Kona, Hawaii.

The Big Island was good to Vegas who tied the season low score he set on Day 1 in the first round of the tournament shooting 67 again in the final round. He finished with rounds of 67, 74 and 67 for a total score of five under-par 208 and tied with Edward McGlasson of Colorado and Roberto Castro of Georgia Tech for fifth.

Texas finished with rounds of 279, 294 and 288 to take sixth place with a three round total of nine-over par 861. It was the fifth top 10 finish for the Longhorns this season and third top six finish in five events.

On the year, Texas has had three different players finish in the top five in five tournaments with Kevin Schultz taking fourth at the Inverness Intercollegiate on Sept. 20 and Matthew Mills finishing regulation tied for first at the PING/Arizona Intercollegiate on Jan. 31.
