 
Postcard from L.A.: Lawry's Beef Bowl
Hey Longhorns fans, Tonight was our third night in California, and it was a lot of fun.We went to Lawry's for the annual Beef Bowl.It was the 50th year of it, and after a presentation with Coach Brown, we had a chance to meet and talk to the 2006 Rose Queen and her court.After that, we sat down and were able to eat some amazing prime rib.They were pretty big this year, about 16 ounces apiece, so I was able to take down two of them.We had a really great time, but I was so full I felt like I needed to loosen my pants! After dinner we watched a video Lawry's put together called "Road to the Rose Bowl" that featured some history about the game and some highlights of ours and USC's football seasons, which was cool.Lawry's was very generous and excited about this year's Beef Bowl and Rose Bowl game, and it turned out to be a nice time. Tomorrow morning we hit the practice fields again to keep preparing for the big game and hopefully work off some of this dinner at the same time. Hook 'em,
