Longhorn Network to air special Valero Alamo Bowl Skycast
Dec. 19, 2012
Longhorn Network will air a special complementary telecast of the Valero Alamo Bowl featuring No. 23 Texas vs. No. 13 Oregon State on Saturday, Dec. 29 from San Antonio, Texas. Kickoff is slated for 5:45 p.m. Central and will mark the 20th anniversary of the bowl game.
Longhorn Network will air the game entirely from the Skycam angle, a camera suspended over the field of play providing a view downfield from behind the line of scrimmage. The network recommends viewing the LHN telecast as a second-screen experience. This will be a Texas-centric supplement to the ESPN telecast and a unique perspective for fans, placing them in the middle of the action.
The telecast will be paired with the radio call of the game, featuring Craig Way, Roger Wallace and Rod Babers, courtesy of KVET Radio. Next Level statistics will be delivered throughout the game on LHN's Bottomline.
The Texas GameDay crew, featuring LHN's Lowell Galindo, Ahmad Brooks, Chris Rix and guest analyst Ricky Williams, will be live from the Alamodome, offering analysis and coverage prior to kickoff, during halftime, and for 90 minutes after the game.
Special programming for Friday, Dec. 28
Programming schedule for Saturday, Dec. 29
