WR Jaxon Shipley
On practice: Practice has been good. Today was a good day for us. Starting off fast, a lot of energy out there, and just a good way to start the week off.

On thoughts about TCU: We put that behind us. We got to go home after that for Thanksgiving and spent some time with our families. When we got back, we quickly went over that and just got rid of it. We are moving on to the next game.

On expectations for QB Case McCoy: Both of our quarterbacks are great, and I think Case does a good job of commanding the huddle and leading and making plays when he needs to make plays. Like I said, both of our quarterbacks do a real good job.

On the difference for the team with McCoy at center versus QB David Ash: It really doesn’t matter for us. I think we just need to be able make plays with whoever is the quarterback. Doesn’t matter if Case or David is the quarterback, our responsibility is still the same.

On what stands out about Kansas State’s defense: I think they have a really good defense, and they have some guys coming back. They are going to play physical, they have great technique, and are going to do what they are told to do. I think that is what sets them apart is their toughness as well.

CB Carrington Byndom
On practice: Practice was good today. We got out and we got a lot of things done. It is kind of our normal Tuesday, make sure we go over basics and make sure we kind of get a feel for what the opposing team has to offer.

On thoughts about QB Colin Klein as a passer: You know I see great things out of his arm. He is definitely a dual threat. We know he can run the ball, but he can also pass the ball. I don’t think people really realize that but when you watch film of the games, you can definitely see that he is very accurate.

On where does the “edge”of a program come from: It comes from your seniors. It comes from your coaches. It comes from your players. You can find it a lot of different ways.

On where the “edge” comes from in this team: I think it comes from everybody who wants to win, and we all have that goal and that mindset. I think we all have that edge for each week.

DT Desmond Jackson
On practice today: We put our emphasis on beating K-State this week. Everyone was focused and everything was going really smoothly today. The intensity level was really good. I liked the intensity of my unit, the defensive tackles. I thought practice was really good today.

On Kansas State QB Collin Klein: He is a great athlete. He can throw it, and he can run. He is the center of their entire offense, and we know that going into the game. We know that we have to not just put all of the emphasis on him, but make sure we do the right stuff for us to get a win.

On freshman DT Malcom Brown: I have nothing but the utmost respect for Malcom Brown. His role is a lot bigger than mine was last year. I think he is accepting the role of playing a lot really well. He is coming up, and in future years I know he will be a really good defensive tackle. He has fun playing the game of football. I could see he has the same thing I had last year- he just loves playing football.

On the team chemistry throughout the season: We are all a family. There will always be instances when you need to bring your brothers up, and that is one thing I love about this team. We are not really frustrated about [the TCU loss]. We know we got to pick our boys up, and we can’t let anyone feel like it is their fault. We can’t blame anyone, and we can’t get mad at anyone. We just have to know that what we did, we just need to improve on it. We are always going to be a family no matter what. At the end of the day we are all we have, and there is always a big emphasis on that.
