He tied the mark set by Cedric Benson in 2001. 9:39 p.m. (14:15 - 4th Q) - Cody Johnson scored from 1 yard out for the 11th rushing TD of his freshman campaign. He moved into a tie with Jamaal Charles (2005) and Vince Young (2003) for second place on the UT freshman rushing TD list. The trio trails Cedric Benson who rushed for 12 TDs in 2001. 9:28 p.m. (End of 3rd Q) - At the end of the third quarter, Colt McCoy became the second player in school history to log over 4,000 yards of total offense in a season. He has 4,012 yards in 2008, trailing only Vince Young's 4,086 yards in 2005. 9:26 p.m. (0:11 - 3rd Q) - Colt McCoy tied a UT record with his ninth career 300-yard passing game. He ties the mark set by Major Applewhite from 1998-2001. 9:22 p.m. (1:16 - 3rd Q) - Ryan Palmer recorded his third sack of his career, all coming this season. 9:21 p.m. (1:16 - 3rd Q) - Texas’ Brandon Collins became the fifth different UT player to log a 100-yard receiving game this season. The Longhorns had four different players log 100-yard receiving games in a season in 1999, 2002 and 2007. 9:03 p.m. (8:11 - 3rd Q) - On Texas' opening offensive drive of the third quarter, Colt McCoy became UT's single-season passing yards record holder with 3,368, passing Major Applewhite (3,357 - 1998). 9:00 p.m. (9:04 - 3rd Q) - Brandon Collins equaled a career-high with his sixth reception and recorded a new career-high with 103 receiving yards. It marks the first 100-yard game of his career. 8:56 p.m. (10:12 - 3rd Q) - Sergio Kindle logged his ninth QB sack of the season and raised his career total to 9.5. 8:42 p.m. (halftime) - Colt McCoy needs 47 passing yards in the second half to set UT's single season passing record of 3,357 set by Major Applewhite in 1999. 8:36 p.m. (halftime) - With his four receptions in the first half Chris Ogbonnaya moved into first place on UT's list for receptions in a season by a RB, tying Eric Metcalf who had 42 receptions in 1986 and 1988. He also moved into fourth place on the UT career list for receptions by a RB with 71, passing Cedric Benson (69) and tying Hodges Mitchell (71). 8:21 p.m. (0:12 - 2nd Q) - Colt McCoy threw a 9-yard TD pass to Quan Cosby. It marked McCoy's 32nd TD pass of the season and the 83rd of his career. It was Cosby's eighth TD reception of the season and the 17th of his career. 8:05 p.m. (5:13 - 2nd Q) - Colt McCoy threw a 20-yard TD pass to Brandon Collins. It marked McCoy's 31st TD pass of the season and the 82nd of his career. It was the third TD reception of Collins' career, all this seeason. 8:03 p.m. (5:13 - 2nd Q) - Colt McCoy threw a TD pass for the 16th consecutive game. He's closing in on the school record of 19 set by Major Applewhite. 7:59 p.m. (7:14 - 2nd Q) - Today's attendance is 98,621, the largest crowd ever for a UT home game. The total attendance for seven home games this season is 686,324 for an average of 98,046, both school records. 7:37 p.m. (1:55 - 1st Q) - Deon Beasley recorded his first career QB sack. 7:33 p.m. (3:15 - 1st Q) - Early in the first quarter Jordan Shipley (905) and Quan Cosby (892) moved into second place on the UT single-season list for most receiving yards by a duo with 1,797. They passed Kwame Cavil (1,188) and Ryan Nunez (600) who combined for 1,788 yards in 1999. They trail only Wane McGarity (1,087) and Kwame Cavil (775) who combined for 1,862 yards in 1998. 7:17 p.m. (8:57 - 1st Q) - Colt McCoy scored on a 14-yard TD run. It was his ninth rushing TD of the season and the 15th of his career. The TD run capped a 12-play, 80-yard drive, covering 6:03 on the clock. McCoy rushed four times for 38 yards and completed 3-of-3 for 31 yards on the drive. 7:14 p.m. (10:01 - 1st Q) - On his third rush of the game, Colt McCoy moved into fourth place on UT's list for career rushing yards by a QB. He currently has 1,213, passing Eddie Phillips (1,211). 7:11 p.m. (14:07 - 1st Q) - Quan Cosby caught a pass in his 43rd consecutive game. The streak ranks third among active players and second on UT's all-time list. 7:05 p.m. - Texas A&M won the toss. The Aggies deferred their choice to the second half. Texas elected to receive.
