OL CHRIS HALL
On what the team has been doing: Last week was so good for us and it is always so much fun to win. That’s why we play the game, to win ball games. Just the team chemistry and the way we played together last weekend was so enjoyable. It was great for the guys because a lot of guys got to play a lot of reps, which is good for future years and now.

Iowa State was a really great atmosphere. They do a great job with their game day and it was good to see Coach Chizik. Iowa State played hard and you have to give them credit as well. We're looking forward to taking the next step and we're focusing on Baylor and they look really good up front. They have a great defensive line and we're looking forward to Saturday at Floyd Casey.

On Baylor: Just like Coach McWhorter said, and watching them on film, they're really a lot better than maybe their record would show. They have great hands, they're really athletic up front, they have guys that really play hard, and it's going to be a good challenge for the offensive line this week. We're looking forward to it; it's going to be a fun game.

RB CHRIS OGBONNAYA
On playing on the road again this weekend: I think we’re looking forward to it and we were pleased with our performance this past weekend.  But there are always things we can get better at and capitalize on, so we worked on those things today, and we’re going to continue to do that and hopefully play well this weekend.

On not taking anything for granted: Our feelings toward that is how we treat every team.  Here at Texas we want to play to a certain standard, which is the level of championship football we want to play at every week.  But anything can happen on any given Saturday, and I think it’s evident with this college football season.  Teams that maybe looked at as not as good in the past have come to play, and it’s no longer about who the team they are playing is, they look at everybody the same.  Anything can happen and we are looking forward to playing Baylor.

On how Waco is so close to Austin: It’s right up the road and since I have been here, our fans have come out and supported us because it’s only an hour to an hour and a half away.  Hopefully we will have some good fan support, and we have a lot of fans everywhere in Texas, so hopefully that will work out for us.

On how many players are from Waco and the surrounding area: Quan [Cosby] is from Mart, Texas, so it’s five minutes away, and he always talks about it.  Like I said, it’s his home, so for him, he’s going back and wants to do well in front of the hometown and his home crowd and get a lot of that support.  He wants to show them how he came to play.  It’s kind of like how I feel about going home to play Rice, so he wants to do well at home.

DB RYAN PALMER
On Baylor’s offense: I see that they converted over to an offense like Texas Tech’s, so it’s going to be fun.  They throw the ball a lot, so it’s going to be fun and another challenge for us this week.  We just have to go out there and have another good game.

On the potency of Baylor’s offense: Whoever is going to be the quarterback is going to be slinging it.  We just have to be on our assignments and be ready to play every time we go out there for defense and get our third-down stops.

On Baylor’s inside receivers scoring most of their TDs: They like to sit in zones and get open.  We have to know our assignments and know when they sit down. We have to be right there with them to cover them.  But like I said, the inside guys run a lot of “mess” routes, as we call it, so we put together a little defense to compete with that and we’ll see how we do on Saturday.

On the strong defensive outing against Iowa State: I think defensively, we played a solid game.  We had three turnovers, one for a touchdown, one was a pick and the other was a fumble recovery.  I thought we went out there and executed the defense, and we just went out there, played excellent team defense, and came out with a good victory.
