 
Sports Illustrated 50th Anniversary Tour comes to Austin
AUSTIN, Texas -- As part of its nationwide 50th anniversary tour, Sports Illustrated is bringing an interactive site to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin on Friday. Texas will be the 11th state to be visited on the tour, and is featured in this week's issue of the magazine. The event is free and will be located at state lot No. 12 at Trinity Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard. The site will be open from 3 - 7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday and will include SI's Greatest moments in Sports Film, interactive video games, sports trivia challenges and special guest athlete appearances. Local bands also will perform each day, including Spacetruck on from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Friday, Wideawake from 5 – 6 p.m. on Saturday and Cord from 2 – 3 p.m. on Sunday.
