Opening remarks: The biggest point of the day was, after last year's opening win we didn't play well after we had two weeks to listen to how good we were. We want the guys to feel positive about the opening game. We want them to have some confidence coming out of the game, but we want them to understand that we made a lot of mistakes. We're playing a much better team this weekend on the road and we'll have to play much better and they've got to understand that as they prepare in practice. I think they did a pretty good job of that today, but we've got a long way to go to get ready for this weekend.

On the match-up against Arkansas: We've won 17 of the last 18 road games. We play in a great atmosphere every week so I really think they enjoy that atmosphere. I think that helps us. We have trouble when we go into an atmosphere and nobody is there. Our guys look forward to this opportunity to go play at a tough place and it's fun because their fans do care. I think that really helps us this week.

On the mindset entering the game against Arkansas: What the guys need to understand is that this is football. Regardless of whether people like us or not, we need to play well. It's about the game and it's about how we play and it's about who plays the best on Saturday night. That's what we've got to understand. When the ball is kicked off, nobody is going to be throwing anything at anybody except the players throwing bodies at each other. That's what we're focusing on right now. We're talking about playing our best against a good football team.

On UT's offensive line: We really pleased with the offensive line. We've gone back this week to watch the Holiday Bowl again because we know an Arkansas would watch it and see what they could get from it. The offensive line played really well [in the Holiday Bowl]. They had a really great first half. Everybody got on them so badly, but we were ahead at halftime and they didn't let the deep ball go over the corner's head and they didn't drop the ball and let somebody run it back for a touchdown. We just got behind the chains and had to catch up and that wasn't our deal against a great Washington State defense. But they didn't play poorly. They've had a great spring and good two-a-days. I think we'll get some more questions answered about this team Saturday night. I don't think we know anything about this team except they bought into what we were doing and they're trying hard. If we win Saturday night, we can go back with our chest stuck out, getting ready to take our week off and prepare for Rice.

On Arkansas QB Matt Jones: He's huge and he flies by everybody and we're amazed at how fast he is. A guy that is 6-6, 240 pounds, shouldn't run a 4.4 forty-yard dash. Last year, I thought that was the difference in our ballgame. He scares us to death so he's a great challenge for us this weekend. When he's played well, they've won.
