Why did you choose to attend the University of Texas? Well, I went on a bunch of visits to a few different schools that I had been interested in going t, but when I got to Texas everything just felt right. The coaches were really inviting, and I just liked everything about the school. Everything really just seemed right.
What are your thoughts on the coaching staff here at Texas? They're awesome. They're the best that I have come across compared to all the other schools I had visited. They've helped me feel at home and feel like I was part of the group before I even committed here.
What do you think about Texas' facilities? Very top notch. There is a bunch of high level, high-tech stuff here. There are a lot of great things to take advantage of.
What was your senior season of football like? As a team we didn't do very well. I felt like I did pretty well, at least the best I could have done considering the situation we were in. We didn't do horribly, but I did as much as I could do to impact the team.
What have you been up to so far this summer? I've been working out and kicking three or four times a week. I've fit some running in, too. I'm trying to make sure that I'm 100% and where the coaches expect me to be.
How was it meeting your fellow 2012 recruits? It was nice. I've been committed since last summer so every time I come here I meet more and more guys. There were only three or four guys that I wasn't good friends with before I got here. It was great meeting them and getting to know them. They're all awesome guys, and I look forward to playing with them.
How do you feel about starting your college career at Texas? Great! It's an awesome school and I can't wait to take advantage of the opportunities given to me. Going to school here and playing football here is going to be awesome.
What will it be like seeing your name on the back of a Texas jersey? It's going to be awesome. My granddad and the rest of my family are obviously really proud of me. It's going to be nice for them to see that jersey, too.
