How excited are you about hosting your first camp?
We just want to do something. A lot of times the kids from the (Killeen) area have to go to Austin or Waco just to be a part of a camp.  We’ve got so many young people here, they need us to show them that there are guys from the area that have done well and they can do the same as well.

How does it feel to be able to be a role model in your hometown?
It’s definitely a great opportunity, because growing up in Killeen, we knew there was something like this that needed to be done. It just wasn’t happening. To come back and show the kids the things we’ve learned is an honor to do that. It’s going to be a great time.

What kinds of things are you going to do at the camp?
We just wanted to touch on some of the things that the high school kids are going to do at the combines.  They do the things we do at the NFL Combine.  We’re going to talk about college, social skills, the things that the kids need to hear about.  We’re going to have fun.  We’re going to have some football games going on, some competition, hopefully a great time. All the proceeds are going to Killeen Parks and Recreation, and parents can call 254-501-6391 to get all the information.

How is life in Tampa?
Everything is going well.  I’m feeling better than I did this time last year.  I’ve got a lot of confidence going into the next year.  I’m excited to have a better season.

What is your favorite part of playing in the NFL?
Being able to wear the NFL shield on my chest means a lot to me.  It’s humbling to know all of the guys I play with in the NFL and to know that I’m a part of that league is amazing.

How does Tampa compare to Austin?
(Tampa) is a great place.  They have great fans.  They love their team down there.  It’s pretty similar.  They’re two great cities.  I’ve had it good.

Did you have a "Welcome to the NFL" moment?
One of those moments where it all kind of clicked was when we were playing the Bills, and I was watching Terrell Owens doing his T.O. thing. I was like, “Wow, this is the NFL.”

What’s it like to see Longhorns almost every week in the NFL?
It’s definitely great to see guys that we played with just because we’ve got that special relationship.  We’ve all shared a lot.  It’s always fun to see another Longhorn on another team.

How was it being in the locker room this year while the Longhorns had so much success?
We knew how good the Horns were.  It was exciting to see guys do so well that were growing up while I was there.  To be able to talk trash to other guys on the team is fun.

How’s your family doing?
They’re doing great. We’re hanging out and having a good time.
