FSN Southwest kicks off its 2007 Big 12 Spring Football Tour Monday, April 16 at 10:00 p.m. CT with an in-depth look at the University of Texas. It’s the first of six 30-minute shows for every Big 12 South Division school. The theme of this year’s series is “Turning Points” with each show featuring a segment highlighting the biggest play of 2006 as selected by the head coach as the pivotal point of the season.
The UT episode hosted by FSN Big 12 sideline reporter Emily Jones includes highlights from the Orange-White scrimmage and Spring Jamboree and a 2007 season preview. The “Turning Point” feature focuses on Colt McCoy’s 33-yard touchdown pass to Limas Sweed in the third quarter against Oklahoma that started a second-half rally and led a win over the Sooners, putting the Longhorns back in the national championship picture.
Fans can watch the Big 12 Spring Football Tour on FSN Southwest in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and parts of New Mexico. Viewers living outside of the Southwest region can get the shows on satellite TV services DirecTV (Ch. 643) and Dish Network (Ch. 416). The programs will be replayed several times throughout the spring and summer, leading to the start of football practice. Shows for Big 12 North Division schools will run in the summer. Fox College Sports also carries the series. Check local listings for dates and times.
