Lock up a piece of UT Football history
March 24, 2011
Texas fans can lock up a piece of UT Football history by purchasing one of 90 official Texas Football lockers used by the team from 1998-2010. The lockers will be sold at the 2011 Texas Football Spring Jamboree presented by Time Warner Cable on Sunday, April 3, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Lockers will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of one per person at the ticket office located inside the Red McCombs Red Zone (enter through Gates 14 or 16). Each locker costs $300 (checks and credit cards only; cash is NOT accepted). All lockers are 92" tall, 29.25" wide and 23" deep; conditions of lockers vary. After purchasing, fans will be able to select their locker from a group that will be located east of the ticket office. Lockers may be picked up beginning 30 minutes after the spring game concludes for a two-hour pickup time. Fans may pull their vehicles up outside of Gate 16 (off 23rd Street) where UT Athletics Staff will assist with pickup. An alternative pickup time will be on Monday, April 4, from 12-5 p.m. at the same location. Please note that lockers cannot be broken down and will take a minimum of two people to move. All proceeds from the sale will benefit UT Athletics programs. The 2011 Texas Football Spring Jamboree presented by Time Warner Cable includes the annual Fan Fest at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Orange-White Scrimmage at 2 p.m. and then a showing of Disney-Pixar's Toy Story 3 on the stadium video board. Admission to all events is FREE for all fans with no tickets required.
