Football team to be honored at MBB game against Kansas

The 2009 Big 12 Champion Texas Longhorns football team will be honored at halftime of the men’s basketball game against Kansas on Monday, Feb. 8. The Longhorns are coming off of a season in which they matched the school record for victories in compiling a 13-1 record and an appearance in their second National Championship Game and fourth BCS Bowl in the last six years. Texas finished ranked No. 2 in both polls, which was the fourth Top Five finish in the last six years. It was also the ninth-straight season of 10-plus wins, which is the second-longest streak in NCAA history.
