Hey Longhorn fans,
Today was our first full day in California, and it was a busy one! We started off the day going to practice at UC-Irvine for about two hours. It was fun. We got to get back into it.
Then, the whole team got the chance to go to Disneyland. I walked around with Trevor Walker and Travis Smith, and we first went to Space Mountain, which was awesome. It was definitely by far the best. Afterwards, we went to the Indiana Jones ride, which was also fun. Finally, we rode Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. We tried to go on this submarine ride, but we ran out of time. We had a lot of fun though.
I have been to Disney once before, back when I was like 10 or 11 years old, but it was only vaguely in my memory. The first time I went to Disneyland. I was with my brother and my older sisters, and we were all pretty young. I did remember that Space Mountain was great though, so I had to ride that first.
I did not see Mickey! I saw a lot of guys wear the Mickey hands or Mickey hats, but I did not actually see Mickey today unfortunately.
After Disneyland, we went to the ESPNZone located right outside the park. The ESPNZone was a lot of fun. There is a game room upstairs for all of the guys to get together and have fun, rest a little bit after Disney, and grab some food. I just played a little arcade basketball and got third, so I'm going to try to work my way up and improve my game.
That’s about it for today. We're back at the hotel, but we will be back at it tomorrow morning at practice.
