SOPHOMORE (1996)
Started all 13 games at left guard ... helped pave the way for the nation's 24th most prolific rushing attack ... was a key component on the offensive line that helped produce seven 200-plus yard rushing games ... helped pave the way for 344 yards rushing vs. Oklahoma State, 336 yards rushing at Texas Tech and 235 yards rushing vs. Texas A&M (who had entered the game ranked 10th nationally against the run at 92.8 ypg) ... also helped anchor an offensive line that allowed just one sack in the final three games, including zero in the Big 12 Championship game against the Nebraska defense that had registered at least one sack in 39 consecutive games before facing Texas.

Earned his first letter after spending the season as the top backup behind senior starter Corby Brooks at left guard ... also saw action on special teams as a blocker ... played in seven games ... redshirted in 1994.
