Played in all 14 games, including the Cotton Bowl, on the offensive line and on special teams ... started four contests at right tackle ... served as the Horns' No. 3 tackle all season after battling Quye for the starting right tackle spot in preseason workouts ... rotated in regularly at right tackle ... earned his first career start at Rutgers due to Leonard Davis' ankle injury ... also started against Rice, at Baylor and against No. 13 Kansas State ... his run blocking helped pave the way for Hodges Mitchell to post the fifth-highest rushing total (1,343) in school history ... provided relief to an offensive line that helped produce four of the top 30 single-game total offense outputs in school history in 1999 (Texas Tech/504; Oklahoma/553; Baylor/586; Stanford/558) ... was in on over 650 snaps during the season.
FRESHMAN (1998)
Played in all 12 games, including the Cotton Bowl, either on offense, goal-line defense or on special teams as a true freshman ... saw action in eight games at offensive tackle and all 12 on special teams ... aided the offensive line in paving the way for Ricky Williams to lead the nation in rushing for the second straight year with a UT-record 2,124 yards (No. 6 on the NCAA all-time list).
