HIGH SCHOOL
Coached by John Outlaw at Lufkin High ... lettered three times at rush end and inside linebacker ... tabbed first-team All-East Texas in 1997 ... was second on the team with 75 tackles and earned first-team all-district honors at linebacker as a senior ... also had seven tackles for loss, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries for a squad that was 7-3 that year ... helped Lufkin to a 6-3 record with 36 stops, six TFLs, one interception and one fumble recovery as a junior ... became a starter as a sophomore in 1995 and posted 24 tackles ... a state qualifier in powerlifting ... also ran the 400 meters in track.
