JUNIOR (2003)
Appeared in all 13 games serving as the primary backup at right tackle ... also played on special teams ... recorded 12 tackles, one TFL and one pressure ... helped a defense which ranked ninth in the NCAA in pass defense (177.3 ypg), 25th in the nation in total defense (329.8 ypg) and 32nd in the country in scoring defense (21.5 ppg) ... posted one tackle in each of the first three games against New Mexico State, Arkansas and at Rice ... registered two tackles, one pressure and blocked an extra point against Tulane ... had a season-high four tackles at Oklahoma State.
SOPHOMORE (2002)
Played in all 13 games as the top backup at tackle and started two contests ... started his first career game against Baylor and tallied a season-high four tackles, including a sack, and a career-high two QB pressures ... also started the Cotton Bowl against LSU ... posted 26 tackles, four TFLs, a pair of sacks and five QB pressures ... key backup on a defense that led the Big 12 and ranked eighth in the NCAA in pass defense (165.2 ypg), second in the conference and seventh in the nation in pass efficiency defense (96.1 rtg), eighth in the country in scoring defense (16.3 ppg) and 16th nationally in total defense (307.7 ypg) ... registered four tackles and a TFL at No. 17 Kansas State ... added four stops at Nebraska ... had a pair of tackles and a sack against North Texas.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2001)
Appeared in all 13 games, including the Holiday Bowl ... recorded eight tackles, one sack, two TFLs and a QB pressure ... key backup DT on a defense that led the nation in total defense (236.2 ypg) and ranked third in passing (146.7 ypg) and scoring defense (13.7 ppg), fourth in pass efficiency defense (88.0 rtg) and sixth in rushing defense (89.5 ypg) ... UT was one of only two defenses that ranked among the NCAA's top 10 in all five statistical categories (Virginia Tech was the other) ... registered two tackles, a sack and one QB pressure at Houston ... had a pair of tackles in the Big 12 Championship game against No. 9 Colorado.
FRESHMAN (2000)
Saw action in the season's first two games as a reserve defensive tackle ... missed the final 10 games of the season because of a foot injury and was awarded a medical redshirt ... registered a career-high five tackles (two solo) in the season opener against Louisiana-Lafayette ... also saw action at Stanford.
